After flexing his muscles as wrestler in Dabangg, Sonu Sood is now going to use his fists in the Tamil and Telugu remake of the film. Sonu, whose character Chedi Singh was well received by the audience is undergoing a makeover for the Southern remakes.
“The Tamil remake of Dabanng moves away from the rural backdrop of Salman’s Hindi version and has an urban set-up. This also means that the villain’s character turns into someone much more flamboyant than Chedi Singh. Accordingly, he would be no more a wrestler instead of essaying the character of a boxer,” informs a source.
Sonu confirms the news saying, “It is interesting for me also to play the same character, but with a different backdrop this time around.”
