Always a bridesmaid, never a bride”— this could well hold true for Sunidhi Chauhan, who has given the industry so many chartbusters that made many
a star, but never for once hogged the limelight herself. But things are about to change now. The crooning superstar is set to give all the Munnis
and Sheilas a run for their money, with a new video that shows her gyrating to her own chartbusters. The video, which is also slated to be marketed
internationally, has been directed by Luv Ranjan of Pyaar Ka Punchnama fame.
“The video is shot in a dhaba, which has nothing but a transistor for entertainment. And Sunidhi steps in this space and dances to her own superhit
songs starting off with Crazy kiya re,” says a source close to the singer. Sunidhi, who is soon leaving for a tour of the US and Canada, says, “I
wanted to make a smashing entry with a unique video. I discussed it with Luv and he came up with the idea of shooting it in a dhaba. I am very
excited about the look of the video.”
Luv too had an exciting return on the sets. “Sunidhi is a dear friend and this video isn’t something that was well planned. She told me about her
tour and that she wanted a video made for the same. So I grabbed the chance and forced her to let me shoot it,” says the director.
