Even as one actress after another is being termed the leading diva of Bollywood, there is someone who is staying away from the clamour and quietly laughing on her way to the bank. For she has been signed on to endorse a brand for the unheard of price of `4 crore.

Katrina Kaif has been riding high on the success of Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara, and now she has a new feat to celebrate as she has overtaken not just other Bollywood actresses, but even Sachin Tendulkar, on the endorsement deal front. Her latest deal has netted her `4 crore and puts her undisputedly on top of her game. But trade watchers say that Kat’s numero uno position has been crystallising for quite a while now.
“Now-a-days, when filmmakers put together a script, Kat has become an almost inevitable choice. That’s because she has proven her worth in both glamorous and de-glam roles, showing that she is a bankable star. No wonder brands are also willing to pay top dollar to have her endorse their products,” says a trade analyst.
Says her spokesperson, “She is in a position where she can demand a certain price and get away with it. Not many can boast of being in that position.”
Kat isn’t boasting either. “What matters is consistent long-term performance,” the actress says. “I’d rather focus on my performances.”
