The European Union on Thursday termed as a "heinous act" the terrorist attack outside the Delhi high court on Wednesday that killed 12 people and injured more than 90, a statement said.
The explosion occurred around 10.30 am. Outside the court where about 300 visitors were crowding a gate for passes to enter the complex.
"The high representative is appalled by the terrorist attack in Delhi. She condemns this heinous act and expresses her condolences to the Indian authorities and to the families and friends of the victims," Eu AsiaNews quoted a statement from EU foreign policy chief Catherine Ashton as saying.
"It is essential that the perpetrators of this evil attack are brought to justice," the statement said.
