Troubled actor Tom Sizemore, who starred in hit films Saving Private Ryan and Black Hawk Down, was arrested in Los Angeles early on Tuesday in his latest brush with the law, the police said.
Sizemore, who was jailed in 2007 after violating the terms of a suspended sentence, was arrested in the early hours under a warrant issued when he failed to turn up for a court appearance in August.
After spending the night in custody the 49-year-old was released on $26,000 bail, according to jail records. A Los Angeles police spokesman said Sizemore was arrested in a drug-related investigation. No further details were available, but Sizemore told the TMZ celebrity news website that it was a mix-up related to a 2009 battery arrest.

50 Cent sued for alleged assault on woman
Los Angeles: Rapper 50 Cent is being sued by a woman who alleges she was assaulted by one of the star’s associates at his mansion two years ago.
Vasti Ortiz has filed legal papers at the Superior Court of Hartford, Connecticut against the 36-year-old hip-hop star, real name Curtis Jackson, as well as his G-Unit Films and Television company, reported MTV online.
Ortiz claims she was invited to Jackson’s property one evening in August 2009, when she met his employee Dwayne McKenzie, who she alleges made “awkward sexual requests”. — PTI
