Some people make films. And some people make perfect films. There’s no doubt about which of these categories Sanjay Leela Bhansali falls into. Irrespective of their box office verdicts, Khamoshi, Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam, Black, Saawariya and Guzarish have all been impeccably made, and if all goes according to plan, another well-crafted gem could soon be joining the SLB pantheon.
Apparently, the director has just finished penning the script for his next directorial venture, and it is all set to be filmed in his usual grand style. Sanjay confirms news of what is touted to be the “next big film”, “Yes, the script for my next film is ready, only final touches are needed. It will be announced when I’m absolutely ready.”
Even though Sanjay seems keen on taking his time, news of the project already has top-notch actresses like Kareena Kapoor, Priyanka Chopra and Deepika Padukone excited. While Sanjay isn’t playing favourites, sources say Bebo may just be a frontrunner as she almost worked with the director on Bajirao Mastani, until the project was scrapped.
But Sanjay isn’t telling. “I have a few names in mind, and I’ll personally call them once I’ve reached a decision,” is all he’s willing to say. Well, we’ll be keeping a close eye on you until then Sanjay!
