Abhishek, Chaitanya carve out Model win

Jan. 5: Abhishek and Chaithanya shone for Model Mission as they triumphed over Sherwood with a convincing 27-16 scoreline in the boys basketball event during the third edition of the DC Inter-Schools Sports Meet being held at Indus World School, Sainikpuri, on Wednesday.

While Abhishek scored 16 points, Chaitanya chipped in with 15. Lalith (8) and Nitin (5) scored for the losing side.

In another keenly-contested match, Johnson Grammar School ‘B’ prevailed over St Joseph’s, Habsiguda, 18-12. Sagar was the top scorer with 10 points for the winners.

However, it was curtains for the other Johnson Grammar team ‘A’. Army School proved too good as they prevailed over Johnson Grammar ‘A’ 32-17.

Pratik, who scored 17 points was ably-supported by Shurya Thapar, who scored 12 as they guided Army School to a spectacular win.

Yashwanth (9) and Rohan (7) top scored for Johnson Grammar. In a closely fought girls match, St Anthony’s sank Atomic Energy-II 19-15. Sapna Saikhila performed brilliantly to pocket 12 points for the winners. She was well-supported by Manisha Gandhi (6).
Preethi and Nanika scored eight and six points respectively for the losing side.
