Formula One: Force India cut practice on safety

The Force India team confirmed it is withdrawing from the second free practice session on Friday for the controversial Bahrain Grand Prix for 'logistical reasons', sources told.

Four members of the team were caught up in a clash between protestors and police on Wednesday night when a petrol bomb exploded close to their car in heavy traffic jams on the main motorway back into capital city Manama .

The incident caused two team members to return home after deciding that they did not want to stay in the Gulf state on safety grounds.
