Mahindra Racing aim to win Italian national title
Mahindra Racing is gunning for the Italian National Motorcycle Racing (CIV) constructors' title in the 125GP event, when they go all out to race in the final race of the season Sunday at the Vallelunga circuit.
The team is assured of the constructors championship even if they finish second in the race.
Currently Mahindra Racing is placed at the top of the table in the constructors rankings with a narrow five-point lead over Aprilia.
The teams' two riders are Italian Riccardo Moretti and Czech Miroslav Popov.
They became the first team from India to win an international motorsport event when Riccardo took the chequered flag at the season-opening race in Mugello March 25.
They have won five out of the seven races so far in the championship with two double podiums.
Moretti is also poised to win second place in the riders classification for the championship. He has already secured five podiums so far.
Mahindra Racing is the first Indian team to compete in the CIV, debuting this year.
