Rebels release manifesto for HCA elections
Hyderabad, Aug. 17: Revamping Hyderabad cricket and restoring past glory; transparency and accountability in administration and improving the standard of the game are among a host of things promised by the United Club Secretaries, the rebel group of the Hyderabad Cricket Association, in their manifesto released in the build-up to August 22 elections.
Speaking to reporters on Tuesday, former secretary Man Singh, who is re-contesting the post, lamented the demotion of the Hyderabad from the Ranji Trophy Elite to the Plate division.
MP G. Vivekanand and MLC Kasani Gyaneshwar, who are seeking to be vice-presidents vowed to unearth talent at the grassroot level and get Hyderabad cricket back on track.
The UCS also sought equal distribution of teams in the A, B, C and D divisions to make the local league more competitive.
