‘I am nothing without my family’

I am whatever I am because of my family. I can’t pinpoint a particular person because everyone has played an important part in honing my art and me. When I was a kid, my mom used to give me drawing books on long flights. She would

say, ‘Get busy’. I used to be more than happy because I’d just lose myself in the art. I guess that was the starting point of my love for art. On the other hand, my father (Suresh Oberoi) pampered me like a princess. He got me a studio where I would work on my Nirvana collection.
My family is my biggest critic. Vivek has his opinions, while Priyanka bhabhi shares a different perspective on art. It is good to get different kinds of feedback as it helps me work on my project better.
It goes without saying that creativity is in my genes. My mom Yashodhara Oberoi writes, Vivek is a poet, Priyanka dances and dad is a fantastic actor.
