Easy win for Indus World
Jan. 8: Indus World School defeated St. Joseph’s High School by 9 wickets in a low-scoring encounter at the Indus World School during the cricket event of the DC Sports Meet on Saturday.
Batting first, St Joseph’s managed to score 121 for the loss of nine wickets in their 20 overs. For the bowling side, Milen took three wickets, giving away 16 runs. Indus, in reply, thanks to Rushil’s quickfire 70 (n.o.), 125 for 1 in just 9.2 overs.
In another low scoring game at the same venue, Cal Public School wallopped a listless St Peter’s High School by nine wickets. St Peter’s, batting first, folded up for 109 in 19.4 overs. Shravan grabbed three wickets for 21 runs for the bowling side.
Chasing 110, Cal got there with 4.4 overs to spare. Shashidhar (53), Rohit Reddy (37 n.o.) starred for Cal with the bat.
In yet another low-scoring match, this time at Gurukul School, the home team were handed a 9-wicket thrashing by Mahesh Vidyalaya.
