Cape Town, Jan. 18: India defeated South Africa by two wickets in the third cricket one-dayer here on Monday.

With this win India took a 2-1 lead in the five-match series.

South Africa: 220 all out in 49.2 overs (Faf du Plessis 60, JP Duminy 52, Graeme Smith 43; Zaheer Khan 3/43, Munaf Patel 2/42, Harbhajan Singh 2/23).

India: 223 for eight in 48.2 overs (Yusuf Pathan 59, Suresh Raina 37; Morne Morkel 3/28, Dale Steyn 2/31).
