Monisha to be first woman boss of F1 team
Chennai, July 24: Formula One has always been considered as a male dominated bastion. But an Indian woman is all set to change the trend.
Dehradun-born Monisha Narang is set to be crowned the first lady boss of an F1 team. As a precursor, the 38-year-old became the first lady in the history of F1 to attend the official FIA press conference when she sat alongside the bosses of Williams and Mecedes on Friday. Monisha is the managing director of the Sauber team. With Peter Sauber, the current boss of the Swiss team, reinforcing his intention to retire, Monisha is getting ready for the coronation. “I’m personally very proud to share the dais with Norvert Haug (Mercedes) and Adam Parr (Williams). I hope my colleagues here are as well, since they have to get used to it. I think it sends out the right signals about Formula One to the world,” said Monisha.
