OGQ to support boxer Thapa

New Delhi: Olympic Gold Quest on Monday said that it will support 16-year-old boxer Shiva Thapa as part of its Vision 2016 program.

Shiva had recently won a silver medal winner at the World Youth Boxing Championship.

He took up the sport at the tender age of seven and was initially coached by his father Padam Thapa.

“Shiva is an enormous talent. He must be groomed well because he has the talent, the right attitude and the hunger to succeed. I am confident that he will become one of India’s top boxing stars in the near future,” OGQ chief operating officer Viren Rasquinha said in a statement.
