File sharing the fun way
Everybody uses files for a variety of purposes, the most common being to share data. Unfortunately, most service providers, like Gmail, Yahoo and Hotmail, only allow users to attach files of up to a maximum size of 25 MB. This can be quite frustrating if you wish to send larger files. The trick then is to use any of the various free file sharing websites like www.yousendit.com (100 MB size per file), www.dropbox.com (total 2 GB storage) and others.
Gone are the days when you had to back up your files on CDs, instead, you can now upload all the data to one of these websites. It is also possible to compress files and reduce their size by 20 per cent — 90 per cent using various file compression tools like 7-Zip, WinZip, WinRar and others.
If you wish to share videos and photo albums, then it is recommended that you use photo sharing websites like Picasa and Flickr and Facebook that make the sharing process easy and quick.
Another great option for sharing extremely large files and sometimes even your entire hard drive is to use peer-to-peer file sharing software like uTorrent, Kazaa and BitTorrent.
So share away!
