Serbia celebrates first Davis Cup title

Hundreds of people began gathering on Sunday night in downtown Belgrade to celebrate Serbia's victory over France and the country's first Davis Cup title. Dozens of automobiles, packed with mostly young people, honked their horns and rushed to central Republic square from Belgrade Arena where Serbia beat France 3-2.

Cold weather did not stop groups of people with flags and flares to gather at the central square and chant "Serbia" and "Champions." Most of the streets around the square are closed for traffic as large groups of people are approaching the square.

More people are expected to join the celebrations, as hundreds of fans began leaving Belgrade Arena and heading towards central Belgrade streets. The Serbian team celebrated their victory by shaving their heads on the court and star player Novak Djokovic said that this is "one of the best sport results this country ever had."
