Tennis crisis: Aita to send two teams for London Olympics

Working out a compromise, All India Tennis Federation has decided to send two teams representing India in doubles contest at London Olympics on Thursday.

In the solution formula, Leander Paes will be paired with Vishnu Vardhan while Mahesh Bhupathi will be joining hands with Rohan Bopanna. Bhupathi and Bopanna had made it clear that they were not ready to partner Paes at the Olympics.

Aita vvalso announced that in mixed doubles, Sania Mirza will be paired with Leander Paes as Mirza informed Aita that she is ready to join any player in the Games.

Paes had earlier rejected the two-team formula suggested by the Aita in which he was to be paired with a youngster such as Yuki Bhambri or Vishnu Vardhan.
