Uttar Pradesh’s Ashutosh Tiwari continued his winning spree and entered the Under-14 boys singles semi-finals of the AITA talent series tennis championship 2012 in Lucknow.

Top seed Tiwari came from one set down to beat Tanmay Sharma 6-7 (3), 6-3, 7-6 (4) at the La Martiniere facility, sports development society tennis court.
Down first set, Tiwari put his experience to use to edge past his rival in a marathon battle.
For second seed Srijan Singh, it was an easy outing against eighth seed Akarshit Mahajan of UP 6-1, 6-2. Fourth seed Mohit Seherawat from Delhi too cruised past Uttrakhand’s Drona Walia, beating him 6-2, 6-4.
There was some consolation for Mahajan though in the Under-12 category, when he defeated statemate Satyakin Kohli 4-2, 4-2 to qualify for the singles semi-finals.
Seventh seed Naman Sharma of Delhi beat statemate Naman Sehrawat 5-3, 4-0, while sixth-seeded Walia defeated Delhi’s Anmol Singh Arora 5-3, 4-1.
