‘Paris spells romance for me’

One can call me an adventurous traveller for I love visiting new countries and knowing new places. I hope to see every little beautiful city all over the world by the time I grow old. I’m not much of a planner when it comes to travelling because when I plan, it usually doesn’t go the way I want it to.
Most of the times I travel with my friends but there are times when I prefer travelling all by myself. Everyone requires some time off from the world for themselves and that’s when I prefer taking a quick trip alone. I love exploring new places, so I try going to places that I have not visited before. Usually when I’m working at a new place, I make sure to take some time off to look around and try the local food. Recently, I visited New York and it was my first time there. I went to a little local cafe and had some of the best food. New York is one of the most exciting places that I have been to. The hustle and bustle of the city and the people around is so warm and inviting that one just feels at home.
Goa is one place I just can’t get enough of. I have been there almost hundred times. The beaches, the food and the nightlife have to be the reasons for me to keep going back there.
Another favourite is Paris. It’s the most beautiful city I have been to. There are a lot of wonderful people to be around with and the air of Paris just spells romance. Its nightlife is totally different from what you would find in cities back home. You can sit and listen to the sounds of live entertainment, or dance the night away at one of the hottest clubs. Regardless of your pleasure, you are sure to have the time of your life.
I remember when I was in Paris last year, I went to see the Eiffel Tower and the view of the city from its top most floor was breathtaking. I could stand there all day and just look around.
The other thing I love about Paris are the little cafes at every nook and corner that serve some of the best coffees and confectioneries. And there are these little boutiques that sell some really beautiful exotic souvenirs. Travellers should try the local cafes and boutiques and walk around the streets to get to know the real Paris.
Every city has its own unique cuisine and I love to try the local delicacies when I’m at a new place.

I want to begin with a little story that was told to me by a leading executive at Aptech. He was exercising in a gym with a lot of younger people.

Shekhar Kapur’s Bandit Queen didn’t make the cut. Neither did Shaji Karun’s Piravi, which bagged 31 international awards.
