King Khan’s quiet b’day
Shah Rukh Khan’s birthday on November 2 has always been celebrated as a festival of sorts. From meeting the aam junta that gathers outside his bungalow Mannat, to inviting mediapersons and close friends for a private bash, SRK ensures his birthdays are inclusive of all his well wishers.
But this year, with the sudden demise of his mentor Yash Chopra, SRK put his birthday plans on the backburner — until Aditya Chopra stepped in. At Adi’s insistence, SRK has decided to celebrate his birthday, but on a smaller scale.
“I don’t have any big plans,” said the King Khan. “Like every year, I’ll meet the people and take their blessings. However, there won’t be a huge bash.” SRK intends to publicise his YRF film by playing the songs from Jab Tak Hai Jaan outside Mannat all day, for fans. Buddies Karan Johar and Farah Khan are also expected to drop by.
