The new action hero

Nothing succeeds like success and Abhishek Bachchan’s career right now is testimony to that. After a series of flops, the actor’s career has finally been revived with the success of Bol Bachchan. And if this wasn’t enough, among those mighty impressed with AB’s comic timing is none other than Ekta Kapoor.

Word has it that the lady with the Midas touch has approached the actor to play an action role in one of the forthcoming films. This is a surprising development, considering all of Abhishek’s previous endeavours in the genre — such as Game and Players — have not been successful.
A trade analyst says, “Abhi’s forte is comedy films such as Dostana and Bol Bachchan. I am unsure about his prospects as an action hero.” But then Ekta is known to have made a sex symbol out of a plain Jane Vidya Balan. While the man in question is being tight-lipped about this, we wonder if he will manage to prove his detractors wrong.
