Students are used to following routines and those at the Osmania University are no exceptions. The campus, which has become the nerve centre for the Telangana movement, however, follows a timetable of its own in times of agitation.

Kiran Reddy, niece of Union minister S. Jaipal Reddy, was murdered by her drunken husband S. Chaitanya Reddy in a fit of rage after an argument over his behaviour at a party. Chaitanya was arrested by the Jubilee Hills police here on Wednesday on the basis of the post mortem report which said that he had smothered her to death on the night of June 17.
