Exploring dance as a form of theatre

The other night I went to watch Swiss choreographer Cindy Acker’s two contemporary dance pieces — Lanx and Obtus. As I sat in the dark auditorium, I tried to make sense of what I was seeing.

Shameless shutdown

For all of us in Maximum City, the last week has been spent quivering in the security of our homes because a certain cartoonist lay dying. And expectedly it released the bestial side of human nature.

The young and the restless

In three days, on July 30, Thespo will announce its 14th edition. Every July I, am faced with the same question, “Do I really want to be part of it again?”

A different kind of Home Theatre System:
“If you won’t go to a play,
Then we’ll bring it to you!”
