Sai’s cash: Cops fight pressure of VVIPs

The police is coming under intense pressure from VVIPs to dilute Saturday’s seizure of `35 lakhs from Yajur Mandir, the personal residence of the late Satya Sai Baba. Sources said police officials are receiving phone calls purportedly from important persons telling them to water down the case.

Saint’s Yajur Mandir yields treasure

Yajur Mandir, the private chamber of Sri Satya Sai Baba, disgorged a fortune Friday — 98 kg gold, 307 kg silver and `11.56 crores in cash — when the trustees of the Sri Satya Sai Baba Central Trust opened it for the first time. Unfortunately, the trustees did not find Baba’s will naming his successor.
