India win back place in Asia-Oceania Group

Kuala Lumpur, Feb. 6: Sania Mirza and veteran Rushmi Charavarthy registered contrasting singles victories as India blanked Kyrgyzstan 3-0 in the play-off tie to win back their place in the Asia-Oceania Group I of the Fed Cup tennis tournament here on Saturday.

Double win for Khade, Indians clinch four golds

Dhaka, Feb. 6: Swimmers led the gold rush as India bagged a rich haul of 33 medals, including 17 gold, to leave the other countries far behind on the ninth day of the 11th South Asian Games here on Saturday.
In a superlative show, the Indians bagged 17 gold, 11 silver and four bronze, the most on any single day, as their total medal tally stood just one short of 100 with two days left in the Games.
