Two sisters, who were locked up in their home for seven months, were rescued from their house in Noida in a state of acute starvation, police said on Tuesday.

Bhopal gas case:SC to hear for harsher charges against accused

A five-judge constitution bench of the Supreme Court will hear on Wednesday the Centre's plea for prosecuting Bhopal gas tragedy case accused, who have escaped with lighter punishment of two years jail term, under the stringent penal provision attracting maximum ten years of imprisonment.

ED to attach properties

The Enforcement Directorate (ED), probing the 2G spectrum scam, will soon begin the process of attachment of properties allegedly acquired by telecom companies, chargesheeted by the CBI. The total cost of the illegally acquired properties is expected to be between `2,500 crores to `3,000 crores.
