Union Agriculture Minister Sharad Pawar on Saturday escaped unhurt here after the ceiling fan on the dais from where he was addressing a seminar fell, police said.

Observing that the RTI Act is an effective device for making government transparent, BJP leader L.K. Advani on Saturday criticised Prime Minister Manmohan Singh's statement favouring a "critical look" at the law and said his party was opposed to any such move.

Kakodia of Rani Durgawati Vishwavidyalaya (RDVV) here were arrested on March 1. The Police had earlier arrested one Raju Khan in this case.
