A day after the militant strike in Srinagar left eight soldiers dead, Prime Minister Manmohan Singh today said the entire country is standing united against terrorists and they will not succeed in their designs.

The third person arrested in connection with the Delhi high court blast — Amir Abbas Dev — was remanded to seven days of police custody by a local court to enable the security agencies to question him.

The police on Saturday night picked up two surrendered militants here for questioning in connection with the HuJI email claiming responsibility for Wednesday’s blast outside the Delhi high court.

One person was killed and seven others were injured in a landslide triggered by heavy rains in remote area of Kishtwar district in Jammu and Kashmir, officials said here on Tuesday.
