What is the reason behind to

What is the reason behind to protest on any issue by the opposition party when the ruling party takes some decision ? Can they revert the decision of ruling party by staging Dharnas and chakka Jam ? What benefit the common man is getting by these activities of politicians of the opposition party against the ruling party ? The state of common man is same and he will pay the hiked prices of fuel and gas to sustain himself. The opposition parties who are doing this should think themselves that whether they had raised the fuel prices or not when they were ruling the country? So, this is typical situation and the ruling party has to take certain decisions, which may not seem in benefit or favour of the citizens but we all are aware that oil/gas prices etc. are always going up and it has been observed from last 50-60 years by every citizen so why there is so hue and cry whenver this decision comes into force. We think of poor people only when the prices are raised. Why our politicians cannot curtail the expenditure incurred on all the activities of their flights, rail, car etc. The measures can be worked out to reduce the expenditure of each and every politician. All politician can live like a medium class average citizen is surviving in this country. After all the politicians are running their expenses on the taxes paid by the citizens of India so why the money is being spent by politicians in a lavish manner and not in a frugal way. The elections are costing too much to the exchequer, lot of money is being spent by each candidate for its own publicity so how our politicians are thinking on the extravagancy. So, how this chakka jam is going to help our common man to reduce the fuel prices.

The Left and BJP should

The Left and BJP should declare that they will reduce state level taxes on petrol to the extent of rise effected by UPA in states ruled by them. And promise unequivocally that once they come to power at Delhi, they will remove all rises effected by the UPA. Unless these parties do this, nobody is going to trust that they are serious and that they will not do the same when they come to power.
