Property price may rise in city
The Delhi Cabinet on Monday revised the circle rates for sale and purchase of properties in the city, effecting a substantial increase for all colonies across the city which may result in rise in property prices.
While briefing the media after the Cabinet meeting, Delhi chief minister Shiela Dikshit stated that the new circle rates will be introduced to minimise the difference between the average market rate and the existing circle rates of different localities.
Ms Dikhsit said, “The neighbouring governments of Uttar Pradesh and Haryana have been enhancing circle rates in respect of Noida and Gurgaon very frequently. In view of prevailing actual market rates in Delhi and in other NCR towns, it was felt appropriate to rationalise existing circle rates.”
“it has been decided to introduce circle rates based on localities and colonies,” said Ms Dikshit.

June 14: Power distribution company NDPL on Monday disconnected electricity connection of 30 chambers of advocates at the Tis Hazari court complex for not paying the electricity dues. The NDPL stated that the power connections have been disconnected over the non-payment of the total outstanding bill of Rs Rs 3,94,000 after repeated reminders.
“It is unfortunate that despite several reminders and disconnection advice, the dues were not being cleared,” said NDPL spokesperson.

It is good for Aam Aadmi and as well as for the government to increase revenue. The new circle rates will not boost the property rate because speculaters in property market will not be able for fast transaction of plots.
