Iskcon says it has no ties with temple
The International Society For Krishna Consciousness (Iskcon) has distanced itself from the disputed land issue and reiterated that Iskcon has no connection with the activities carried out at the Laxmi Narasimha Temple in Banjara Hills. Hyderabad Iskcon president Vedanta Chaitanya Das said, “Iskcon is being dragged in for the wrong reasons, creating a lot of confusion among devotees and the public. We have no connection whatsoever with the Laxmi Narasimha Temple. The said temple is maintained by the Hare Krishna Movement, which is being misunderstood by many.”
Mr Das said that Iskcon is a Trust registered in Mumbai and all centres in India operate as branches. The Hare Krishna movement is controlled by Madhu Pandit Das, the president of Iskcon Bengaluru, who tried to defraud Iskcon by indulging in forgery, Mr Das added.
