200 aspirants for two BJD seats in Orissa
After the Biju Janata Dal president and chief minister Naveen Patnaik recently announced that the his party leader Pyarimohan Mohapatra would be renominated to Rajya Sabha for the second term, the race for the two other seats, going to fall vacant on July 1, has just begun.
Every day, dozens of aspirants are seen standing in queue before Naveen Niwas, the residence of chief minister, to hand over their curriculum vitae (CV) to Mr Patnaik.
According to reliable sources, at least 200 CVs were received by the chief minister by Thursday evening. The applicants, the sources informed, have taken utmost care to be very “articulate” and “precise” while scripting words in their applications.
