It is indeed very sad that the government has forgotten the veterans like M.F. Hussain and Jagjit Singh. Didn't they contribute to the national wealth in terms of their art and music?
The other gentleman is A.K. Hangal, who is a living freedom fighter and a retired teacher in his 90s. He also worked in many award-winning films. He is not even being remembered by his own filmi fraternity, and is living in a distressful condition due to his ill health. The government should acknowledge him for his contribution during the freedom struggle and honor him with an award, which is due to him for too long. Honoring the much deserved is a blessing than honoring the influential and powerful.
