Another abducted, raped in Kolkata
Another woman was allegedly gangraped at a house following her abduction in a car at Chetla in south Kolkata. The victim, a mother of a girl, works as a domestic help and stays with her parents and daughter in Tollygunge.
At around 7.20 pm, while the woman was returning home from work in Chetla, a group of 10 men blindfolded her at Chetla Bridge near a multi-storeyed housing apartment and forced her into a moving car and whisked her away to a house at an undisclosed location, according to sources. She was raped by two of them at night and was confined there till dawn, preliminary investigations revealed.
At around 4.30 am on Sunday, the victim was dropped in a car near the same apartment. With the locals’ help, she went to the Chetla police station from where she was reportedly sent to the Charu Market police station. In her complaint of gangrape, the victim told the police of not knowing the miscreants and the location of the house. On Monday, Ajoy Bhattacharya, a builder from Tollygunge, was arrested by the police for allegedly threatening the woman.

After 66 years of independence India, still woman are not protected and they cannot go to work without fear. Especially in the communist area of kolkata, I find this kind of problem on women. Mamta didi, pl. give our womanhood safety from the vulnerable group.
