Babus tell Rahman to tweak tune

New Delhi, Aug. 16: The theme song approved by the empowered group of ministers for the Commonwealth Games could not be released here on Monday as some tweaking in the lyrics was required.

The lyrics needed more lines underlining “India’s composite culture”. The song is to be released in 10 days. Talking to the media, music director A.R. Rahman, who composed Swagatam, said some tweaking of the lyrics was required. The opening lines are Yaaro India Bula Liya. He said the song would go beyond Shakira’s chart-buster Waka Waka, theme song of the Football World Cup 2010.
