CBI probe recommended against Yeddyuruppa

A Supreme Court panel on Friday recommended a probe by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) against former Karnataka chief minister B.S. Yeddyuruppa in a case relating to alleged irregularities in denotification of land.

The panel alleged that Mr Yeddyuruppa's office violated several rules and massive illegalities took place that enabled the former Chief Minister's relatives to make windfall profits.

The panel has recommended a detailed probe by the CBI against Mr Yeddyurappa.
