Heavy Poonch firing still on, civilian dead
Indian and Pakistani troops again exchanged small arms, machinegun and mortar fire along the Line of Control in Poonch, leaving at least one civilian dead and another wounded.
India accused Pakistan of unprovoked firing for the fifth time in the three days, with Indian forward posts being the specific target. Independent reports from Poonch confirmed the two sides exchanged heavy fire with short intervals throughout the night of August 11-12, ending around 6 am Monday.
