New film Barfi! india’s entry for Oscars

It has been a week sin-ce Barfi! hit the silver screen and the makers of the film are already celebrating. On Satur-day evening, the Ranb-ir Kapoor, Priyanka Chopra and Ileana D’Cruz starrer Barfi! was declared India’s entry to the Oscars.

An elated Studios Disney UTV managing director Siddharth Roy Kapur said, “We are honoured that Barfi! has been selected to represent India as its official entry to the Academy Awards 2013.” UTV’s Paan Sin-gh Tomar and Kahaani and Ekta Kapoor’s The Dirty Picture were the other contenders for entry to the Oscars.
