Afghan bomb blast kills 14: official
Fourteen civilians were killed and four others injured in a blast linked to insurgents in southern Afghanistan on Thursday, an official said.
"Now we know that 14 people, all civilians, including women and children, were martyred and four others, all men, were injured," Daud Ahmadi, a provincial spokesman told AFP, raising an earlier death toll of 10.
"The bomb was planted by the Taliban," he added.
President Hamid Karzai "strongly condemned" the attack in Helmand province which "martyred 14 civilians," his office said.
