Trinamul, CPM activists clash in Jamuria
Jamuria near Asansol turned into a battle ground as Trinamul Congress and CPI(M) supporters clashed over filing of nomination for the school managing committee of Rajpur Nandih High School. Three CPI(M) supporters were injured in the incident. A huge police force struggled to bring the situation under control.
The election was scheduled on October 14 for which nominations were being filed on Friday. The CPI(M) leaders alleged that the Trinamul Congress used force to prevent their supporters from filing nomination. Latter CPI(M) took out a huge protest rally. The rival workers clashed again.
CPI(M) leader Manoj Dutta alleged that Trinamul supporters prevented his partymen from filing nominations. Trinamul leader Purnasashi Roy rejected the charge. With no other party filing nomination, the Trinamul candidates won all six seats.
