Did you just have the wrong drink?
The most impressive thing about us human beings are our differences and the pride we take in our uniqueness. You like coffee more than tea, he thinks bikes are cooler than cars, she likes to run in the morning, he likes yoga in the evening…
Even with entertaining ourselves, we’re creatures of habit. Along with favourite tipples, watering holes and drinking buddies, the drinking fraternity now has a new trend –– a particular drink for a particular day of the week.
Mridula Bala, a karaoke music jockey, gives us an insight into this new trend, “Most people I know stick to one particular type of drink so religiously that even if it isn’t available for the night, they prefer not to drink anything at all. It’s like any other habit.”
Elaborating, student Roshni Rao says, “Personally I love to stick to a particular drink because that way I know how to limit myself. Mixing drinks tends to ruin your mood, especially when it messes with your head and body. ”
If the logic of a particular or specific day for a different kind of alcohol seems wonky, perhaps you’re more of a seasonal drinker.
During monsoon and winter, women prefer white rum and whiskey, while men drink wine, cognac and white rum. In summer, exotic fresh fruits-based cocktails sell like crazy.
