His campaign is also designed to counter the Congress campaign by Haryana chief minister Bhupendra Singh Hooda who will be addressing a series of meetings in favour of Raj Babbar in Ferozabad on Monday.RLD president Ajit Singh, meanwhile, was quoted as having said in an interview to a Hindi daily that though his party was still a part of the NDA, he had decided to campaign for the Samajwadi Party in order to defeat the BSP in Firozabad."The BJP is not in the contest in Firozabad and therefore we are supporting the Samajwadi Party," he was quoted as having said in the interview.According to sources, Samajwadi Party leaders had personally sought Mr Singh's support in Firozabad to ensure the victory of Dimple Yadav.
