Desperate to hold on to his grassroots vote bank, Orissa chief minister Naveen Patnaik on Tuesday announced 5,000 Mo Kudia (My Hut) for the natural calamity and Left-wing extremism-affected people in the state.
According of an official statement issued by the chief minister’s office (CMO) here, 500 each Mo Kudia sheds were announced for flood affected people in Boudh district and residents of Kamakshanagar who lost their houses in a major fire mishap recently.
Similarly, 1,500 Mo Kudia houses were declared for the LWE-hit Narayanpatna block in Koraput district. The chief minister announced 146 Mo Kudia houses for fishermen communities in Ganjam, his home district, while 2,154 were kept reserved for unforeseen natural calamities.
