On the concluding day of the three-day book exhibition, National Book Trust, India organised a workshop for children at Urs Mahal, Nizamuddin. The children enacted scenes from the Rabindra Nath Tagore’s dramatic masterpiece, The Post Office.
The workshop was conducted by Banani Sarkar, noted Bhatnatyam dancer. “The aim of the workshop is to help children learn the art of presenting a story through dance and drama,” she said.
Over 200 children from various MCD and other schools like Delhi Public School, The Shri Ram School, Gurgaon and those associated with NGOs such as Agha Khan Foundation and Sakshi participated in the workshop.
The school children had a feast of stories during the storytelling sessions was conducted by Charu Sethi and Pawan Guleria. Children too grabbed the opportunity and stunned the audience with their enchanting tales.
