BRITISH SCIENTISTS have suggested that fast food outlets should provide statin drugs free of charge to allow fast food lovers to eat their favourite food and neutralise the heart disease dangers of eating fatty food.
Statins are drugs used to lower cholesterol levels in people with or at risk of cardiovascular disease. They reduce the amount of unhealthy “LDL” cholesterol in the blood.
The reduction in cardiovascular risk offered by a statin is enough to offset the increase in heart attack risk from eating a cheeseburger and a milkshake, res-earchers at Imperial College London have calculated. “Statins don’t cut out all of the unhealthy effects of burgers and fries. It’s better to avoid fatty food altogether. But we’ve worked out that in terms of your likelihood of having a heart attack, taking a statin can reduce your risk to more or less the same degree as a fast food meal increases it,” Dr Darrel Francis, from the National Heart and Lung Institute at Imperial College London, who is the senior author of the study, said. In Britain, only one statin is already available over the counter at pharmacies without a prescription, but other statins can only be bought when prescribed by doctors.

The sports star is said to have approached Kardashian and asked her about work before admitting he wanted to date her again. Kardashian, who is currently single, and Bush then got into a heated discussion which turned “aggressive” but not physical as they knocked back more drinks.
