The ubiquitous presence of Internet in our lives has now moved onto bringing television live to our mobile phones and much more than that. With the arrival of 3G, online TV is fast catching up among youth in metros. Looking at the dynamics of the virtual medium, India will get its first youth web TV specially designed for the youth. It will be called fadoo.tv and some of the content is already available on the website.
Raj Konar, co-founder of fadoo.tv along with his partner Prasad Ambre studied the online media and the opportunities available. For young aspiring filmmaker Konar, the idea of online media struck him while understanding the concept of TRPs and television audience. “The usual television content doesn’t really aim at city youth. Channels which are youth-oriented and cater to the youth fall behind in TRPs. By making it youth exclusive, we are limiting our target audience and also designing only that much of content which will be relevant to them,” says Konar.
The content that will be developed is on the lines of youth oriented shows with the first show being BTW (Bike The Way) whose format is being designed by a bike designer Khalid Sheikh who has been in the field for quite some time.
