Talk and Charge!
In the near future every cellphone owner will soon be charging his pone battery by just chatting on his cell and the more he talks the more he will increases battery life — provided the innovative research by a group of Korean scientists produces the right results. These scientists claim to have successfully developed a material which can convert sound waves to electricity. This research could lead to making of small modules that can charge a cell phone during conversation. Presently the voltage produced is too low be utilised for commercial purpose. The present generation phones use more voltage than this technology can produce, researchers worldwide are working on several ideas to boost this voltage.
This research works on the reverse principal of loud speakers which transform electric signals to sound. Till the Koreans prove their point let’s talk less for presently the more we talk the more the battery consumption. So don’t worry, the future is bright.
