Be a star on the dance floor

The dance floor, especially ones found in pubs and night clubs, has always been a litmus test for any dancer to show off his/her skills. The small dancing platform, which is usually flooded with people, is actually the perfect place to test a dancer’s etiquette. Good dance is not just the only thing that will make you shine on the floor. It is important to develop good social skills as a dancer if you want to be a popular person at a party and keep a lasting impression on people.

A graceful ballet dancer gliding across the stage presents a beautiful picture. Her glowing and clear skin coupled with a radiant smile simply adds to the great visuals. Dancers, avoid those bad habits

Today, dance is no more just an art form. It is also a serious business for many people. The days of gurukuls are over and the system of teaching has now become much more cool and professional.

Natural healing for dancers

Dancers tend to lead an extremely busy life with their choc-a-bloc schedule full of auditions, practices, rehearsals, classes, shows, costume fitting and many other errands. And amidst so many activities, if a dancer happens to fall sick, it’s almost as if life comes to a standstill. Prevention is better than cure is an important adage that dancers must follow. You have to take care of your health so that you don’t fall sick. Missing a class or a practice means more work and longer hours when we get back to the dance floor.

Bask in the beauty of ballet

Ballet is the most beautiful western dance forms of all the other dance styles with breathtaking imagery on display. Believed to have originated in Russia, it is perhaps the most widespread classical dance style across the world. Over the years, it has gained popularity and many dancers have come up with their own versions like Jazz Contemporary and so many more that give the old classical style a modern touch.

Authentic gems for real dancers

For any show and performance, dancers always have to dress up in the right manner to showcase their dance and portray their character well. To bring out the glamour and beauty in the costume many dancers accessories them with jewellery.

Gain control on those subtle movements

Dance is not just about the movement and the grace. There are a lot of other factors that one needs to consider.

Dancers, get the piercing right

Many dancers today love body piercing, and I have to say I am one of them. My partner Jesse Randhawa and I were invited a few months ago to perform at the closing ceremony of the World Economic Forum at Davos, Switzerland.

Secrets for memorising

As a choreographer, I work with many experienced dancers, who are a part of my troupe, and this gang has a very high turnover too.
