The Union home ministry has sought a nod from the Prime Minister’s Office to the Enforcement Directorate’s request to record a statement of Puducherry Lieutenant Governor Iqbal Singh in connection with his recommendation for issue of passport to Hasan Ali Khan. Mr Singh met home minister P. Chidambaram in North Block on Monday where he is believed to have expressed his willingness to face the ED sleuths .
